hi Wil,
Thanks for stopping by. The broken link is now fixed. It should work alright...
I think you branded everything from Britain as Brit-pop. I think Brit-pop has always been a late 80s early 90s kind of thing, and the Smiths were way earlier than that.
But yeah, I don't know about the majority of them. Only listened to Verve, Stone Roses, Oasis and of course Radiohead. Blur and Suede, tried some of their other albums but not the ones listed.
Haha... perhaps this is a rather broad list, but at least i didn't put Slowdive in this list even though they are from Britain... hehe...
Yeah... i think the Smiths could be a borderline case, but I honestly think without Morrissey or Johnny Marr, there won't be a scene call Brit-pop. Without them there won't be a Stone Roses, or Suede, or Verve, so i guess they are a pioneer of sort...
For expert info on Britpop, i think this is a good site to begin with: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=77:2681
oh... one more thing to add...
That Suede album is a double album B-side collection. I prefer that much better than the Dog Man Star album. You should definitely check it out...
