I slightly disagree with your use of the term "dream pop" in last week's show. Happy new year!

Hey 牛郎:
Happy new year! I'm even more excited about the Chinese new year coming up soon.
hm... regarding your comment... I believe I was using the term "dream pop" to describe the song "北極冰川" by Super VC.
The song had a very bright, spacey and dreamy guitar riff/layer (i.e. lots of delay and reverb). It was quite reminiscent of the early Verve and the modern "dream pop" sound of Doves (especially their second album).
Perhaps, not quite the Cocteau Twins type of "dream pop" though.
Anyway, for more info: All Music Guide - Dream Pop
I didn't listen closely to Super VC because I was in the washroom, but I have heard that you categorized Radiohead's work as dream pop?
hm... true.
I did compare Radiohead with the two bands we played: Sound Fragment + Super VC.
First, I was pointing out that Sound Fragment was dubbed the "Radiohead of China". That was it.
I also compared Super VC's sound with Radiohead (The Bends), because both had atmospheric and jangly guitars. I guess the same could have been said with Coldplay as well.
anyhoo... Thanks for your valuable comment though.
